All in early 20th century h.cloth album. - Some pages sl. loosening; bookplate on pastedown, flyleaves worn, all prints trimmed to the margins. * Attractive (rare) original lithographed caricatures by Belgian artist Félicien Rops (1833-1898), taken from his journal: Uylenspiegel. The caricatures depict mostly famous artists and musicians from his age. Depicted are: A doorman, Man with a bowler hat, composers Eduard Lassen & Henryk Wieniawski, photographer Nadar (Gaspard-Félix Tournacho), painter and singer Félix Bovie, composer / orchestra director Stevenirs, singer Goossens, composer Léon Jouret, Louis Sacré, fire breather Ruggieri, painter Van Moor, painter Alexandre Nestor Nicolas Robert, ténor Cornelis.
