Title: Three original b./w. photos taken by Haarlem photographer Jan de Roon. The photos show a group of students in a room with their paintings done during a wood and marble imitation course in the years 1920-1921. The course was given by the Haarlem house and decoration painter G. de Boer (this information is visible in one of the photos showing an information board on an easel). The photos also show two different teachers, probably G. de Boer and a business partner.
Description: The photos each measure approximately 17 x 19 cm. and are mounted on cardboards (as issued), they are each placed in a modern frame. - The photos have a stamp from the photographer on the back with the address stated as Gen. Cronjestraat 45 in Haarlem.The photographer Jan van Roon (1879 - 1948) had his studio in the Generaal Cronjestraat in Haarlem (annexed Schoten) at numbers 41 and 43, 45 and 47 respectively. He was active in Haarlem in the period 1903 - 1948.
