Benn. - - Each little tale (1 page) evokes the town of Chelm and its inhabitants, renowned for their naivety. - - Benn (Bension or Bencjon Rabinowicz) (Polish -French, 1905 - 1989) was a painter associated with the School of Paris. His early work was mostly figurative; much of his later work is inspired by the Bible, particularly the Book of Psalms.
