Letterpress title-page with engr. printer's mark (Libertas Sine Scientia Licentia Est), [5] pages text, [23] contemp. handcol. maps (all maps are folded in four; 22 of the maps are neatly numbered in ink; size of general map is 18 x 18 cm.; size of all other maps: ca. 14 x 22 cm.] & 1 contemp. handcol. fold. engr. double-page table (Nieuwe Steedewyzer [...]; ca. 18 x 20 cm]). Contemp. h.roan. Small 8vo. - Several maps with some foxing and browning; 5 maps with folding tears (partly reinforced with paper on verso). Koeman, Atlantis Neerlandici (1969), Vol. II, p. 262, Lat 1A. - Rather rare first edition of this pocket-atlas of the Netherlands. Of the Steedewyzeronly the first plate of two is present. The second plate is missing. Complete copies of this first edition are very rare. - - Jan de Lat was one of the very few booksellers outside Amsterdam who published maps and atlases.
