Rare collection of all eight volumes published in this series relating to Jacob van Deventer's maps of the current Dutch territory: Map 1: Nederland / Zuid-Holland; Map 2: Nederland / Utrecht; Map 3: Nederland / Noord-Holland; Map 4: Nederland / Friesland; Map 5: Nederland / Overijssel, Drenthe en Groningen; Map 6 / Nederland / Gelderland; Map 7: Nederland / Zeeland; Map 8: Nederland / Noord-Brabant en Limburg. - - Each portfolio contains a collection of coloured reproductions of manuscript maps by Jacob van Deventer. Each map with descriptions on seperate leaves by various authors. - - Originally, a total of 12 parts were planned. In 2001 (not present here !) the 12th volume on Germany and Luxembourg was published (Die Stadtgrundrisse von Jacob van Deventer: Deutschland und Luxemburg). Volumes 9, 10 & 11 (Belgium and France) have never been published.
