Title: Compendium perclarum ad introdctio[n]em invenum in facultate Logice per clarum Artium doctorem ac Theologie professorem Magistrum Paulum Pergulense nuperrime compilatum quam faustissime incipit.
Description: Venice, Baptistam de Tortis, 13.8.1486. 50 (unnumbered) folia. 3 wood-engr. text-ills. Modern raised half leather over wooden panels with remnants of the old binding pasted over. - Some very early annotations in the margins, some restaurations affecting the corners of the last pages, ex-libris on verso frontcover; light stain (ca. 2.5 cm.) affecting the extremities of the right-margin.* Third Edition of this early logic text, composed for students at the author's school of philosophy and mathematics in Venice, and probably used subsequently for his classes at the university at Padua. This seems to be the first appearance of Jacobus Sentinus' recension of the text, as well as the first printing of the author's De Sensu Composita et Diviso. The main work was issued eight times from 1481 to 1501, when new humanistic treatments of logic superseded this textbook. Extremely rare incunabula. Only 10 copies known in public collections.
