Description: All cards [different sizes] are printed after designs in pen & ink by the graphic artist Alice Horodice-Garman, each hand coloured.Alice Horodisch-Garnmann (Berlin, October 31, 1905 - Amstelveen, December 12, 1984), she later called herself Garman, was a German graphic artist, graphic designer, wood engraver, pastelist, pen artist, watercolorist and book cover designer. Alice Garnmann worked in Berlin until 1933 and then in Amsterdam until 1942, then in Switzerland until 1945 and again in Amsterdam from that year. She was educated at the Vereinigte Staatsschule für freie und angewandte Kunst in Berlin, where she was a student of Oskar Herman Werner Hadank. She married in Berlin the later Amsterdam bookseller and publisher Abraham Horodisch.
