Full tree calf, spine in six compartments separated by gilt borders. gilt lettering on red labels in two compartments. The author of these letters, Catherine Van Rensselaer Schuyler, was the mother of Alexander Hamilton's wife, Elizabeth Schuyler. Hand-written 3-page review copied from the Aikins Annual Review by a former owner on the first four preliminary blank pages, otherwise unmarked; the volume shows only light shelf-wear, the hinges are strong and the text-block is tight and square. VERY GOOD. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall. 275 pp. Very Good with No dust jacket as issued .
