Gibbings designed nearly one hundred wood blocks to create engravings on the title page, as head and tailpieces, and decoration on every page. The type used is Perpetua, designed by Eric Gill. The volume is in excellent condition, showing only slight shelf-wear, otherwise it is unmarked, tight, square and clean. The slipcase is held together with clear tape. VERY GOOD+/FAIR (slipcase).
