Publisher's full calf leather with 5 raised bands on spine dividing it into six panels, one panel has gilt lettering and the others are gilt decorated, marbled endpapers and edges. With frontispiece portrait of M. Levret and 5 fold-out illustrations. Hinges are cracked, binding is rubbed on extremities and surfaces with some loss to the extremities, front endpapers have an ink blot, the front endpaper has a number written in ink, rear endpaper has some faint numbers and letters in pencil, gilt on spine is faded and chipped, one plate has a 3" tear at the edge by the spine, another has a 1" tear, other 3 plates and frontis are intact, a few dog-earred pages. GOOD.. B&W Plates. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall. xvi, 480 (4) pp. Good with No dust jacket as issued .
