A 6-page (8-1/2" x 11") manuscript COMPLETELY IN MILLER'S HAND and SIGNED by him at the conclusion, with a Typed Manuscript of the same in 5 pages with minor ink corrections and Miller's chop at the end. Eventually printed in Miller's MOTHER, CHINA AND THE WORLD BEYOND (1976) by the Capra Press. With a SIGNED copy (#161 of 250) of the book included. Miller records his impressions of a China about which he had only heard and read. "Even as a boy the name China evoked strange sensations in me. It spelled everything that was vast, marvelous, magical, and incomprehensible. To say China was to stand things upside down. Small paperclip rust stain at top of first page of each manuscript.
