Octavo (6-1/4" x 9-3/8") bound in full scarlet-stained sheepskin with a large red letter "A" set off on black leather surrounded by a gilt design on the front cover and a gilt-stamped black leather spine label. Introduction by Dorothy Canfield. Illustrated with lithographs drawn on the stone by Henry Varnum Poor and pulled by George Miller. Copy #874 of 1500 SIGNED by the artist on the colophon page. Ill.: Henry Varnum Poor. Wear to the spine tips with a small triangular piece of leather lacking near the top and some splitting to the front joint. Good in a Good slipcase with the bottom edge partly detached .
