Prize bookplate for regular attendance by Warter S.(unday) School but recipient's name and part of decoration torn away. *Story of city child sent to the country for a few weeks' holiday, of the mistakes he makes there and of the friendship with the family he boards with, as they grew up the contrast becomes wider as the city lad tries liquor -only once but with disasterous results - larks about at work he doesn't enjoy and marries a useless wife who would live beyond their means, all turns out well when they move to the country. The author was a believer in the Children's Country Holiday Fund and the Church's involvement in social and humanitarian movements. Quite scarce.
