Description: Albany, New York, Hoffman and White. Second Edition Revised. Leather-bound. Both frontis foldout and map present. 21 and 1/2" folding frontis plate, consisting of eight, separate sections, each of which refers to a separate page in the text. The frontis plate shows one minor tear, and is not folded neatly. Fold-out map (opposite p. 161)" a view of the ancient works on the Muskingum, near Marietta, Ohio" (near confluence of Ohio and Muskingum Rivers). Rubbing and wear to leather extremities, but still quite solidly bound. Researching and comparing excavated artifacts, and linguistic similarities, author attempts to build a case for a pre-Native American North American population, originating perhaps in Libya. Good .
