One clasp missing. 919 pages. Black letter text. Note: Lacks pages 23-56 and 504-530. Rudolf Gwalther [1519-1586] was a Swiss pastor and Protestant reformer. He was a popular preacher whose sermons were translated by Robert Norman in Ipswitch in 1570. He was married to the daughter of Ulrich Zwingli, the leader of the Reformation in Switzerland. Gwalther's son, Rudolf Gwalther the younger (1552-77) studied in Oxford in the early 1570's at same time when John Bridges [1536-1618] was Bishop of Oxford, and enhanced his father's reputation as he was in regular communication with English bishops.
