Impressive book on sailing ships beautifully illustrated in colour and black & white, with photographs, paintings, prints, engravings, diagrams and drawings, some of them tipped in, some are double page & folded. 272 pages, 268 illustrations, of which 44 are in colour and 16 in 2 colours. 8 monographs of vessels with 31 pages of plans. 13¼" x 11½". Near fine in cream binding, no inscription or marks except bottom edge is slightly soiled from shelf wear. Dust jacket worn & torn on top & bottom edges, top edge is bumped & a tear down front is repaired on the inside with tape. Very heavy. 1967
