A presentation letter from the latter to the former is tipped in to the prelims, celebrating the £10,000 raised for Essex War Welfare by the publications included. These are: 1. Lights of Essex, 1942, 50pp, with a foreword by Churchill, and contributions from Margery ALlingham, Philip Guedalla, HG Wells, Bruce Bairnsfather and others; 2. Welcome To Essex - An invitation to the troops in this County, especially the Americans, to inspect some its most interesting features, 1943, 32pp. Each of these publications is in VG or better condition and scarce in its own right.
