Akkerman, Bea (Ed.); Saray Yates (Ed.)
This Little Light of Mine
[Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada], Privately Printed [Jen Japes Publishing], 2018. First Edition, First Printing. Softcover. pp. 349. 8vo. Pictorial covers. Elisabeth Akkerman’s story is full of human interest. In a life well lived, there is comedy and tragedy and in the middle of it all, a strong family-centred woman whose life took her to three continents and spanned almost a century. My mother never lost her faith and hope in God, in family and in life itself. My mother touched each person that she met in some fundamental way because she had an open heart, an open mind and those wonderful open arms. Together my parents contributed a strong Canadian home to a growing number who became family.
