Annals of the Cape Provincial Museums. Volume 9. Part 9. The Exploitation of Shellfish By Coastal Tribesmen of the Transkei.
Cape Provincial Museums, Albany Museum, Grahamstown. Natural History. Volume 9. Part 9. 13th December 1973. Printed wraps, Stapled, p.159-p.175, 184mm wide x 240mm high. New unread copy. The consumption of shellfish by non-Bantu groups who lived along the south and south-east coast of South Africa has been extensively documented in archaeological literature. Traveller's accounts and early ethnographic descriptions of the Bantu-speaking peoples of present-day Transkei and Ciskei with few exceptions stress the absence of a tradition of fishing, often ascribing it to a prohibition against eating fish. The study fills a gap in the ethnography of the Southern Nguni living in the coastal districts of the Transkei.

Annals of the Cape Provincial Museums. Volume 13. Part 9. The Distribution and Status of Some Eagles in the Cape Province.
Cape Provincial Museum, Albany Museum, Grahamstown, Natural History. Volume 13. Part 9. 8th October 1980. Stapled wraps, p.107-p131. illustrated, 184mm wide x 240mm high. New unread copy. A study of the distribution and abundance of some eagles in the Cape Province based upon a postal survey followed by a ground-truth survey. Despite certain disadvantages attached to such a survey, and the vast area covered, it was possible to obtain a valid picture of the distribution of the species involved as well as realistic estimates of their abundance. It was not possible to make statements on an trends that may exist but the survey indicated that of the nine species of eagles that are known to breed in the Cape Province five appear to have viable, albeit small, populations while a sixth species may be declining to extirpation.

Annals of the Cape Provincial Museums. Volume 14. Part 7. Historical Atlas of the Diurnal Raptors of the Cape Province (Aves: Falconiformes).
Cape Provincial Museum, Albany Museum, Grahamstown, Natural History. Volume 14. Part 7. 28th February 1983. Stapled wraps, p173-p297. illustrated, 184mm wide x 240mm high. New unread copy. Maps showing the past and present (1970s) distribution of 55 taxa of breeding and non-breeding diurnal raptor occuring in the Cape Province, South Africa, are presented. The compilation of these maps is such that any major range fluctuations which have taken place on a temporal basis are indicated. Almost a quarter of the taxa show a decrease, most show no change, and only two indicate an increase. The value of this information for long-term monitoring studies and for conservation purposes is mentioned. The limitations of the survey are discussed.

Annals of the Cape Provincial Museums. Volume 14. Part 3. On the Taxonomic Status of Heleophryne Regis Hewitt, 1909 (Anura: Leptodactylidae).
Cape Provincial Museum, Albany Museum, Grahamstown, Natural History. Volume 14. Part 3. 26th July 1982. Stapled wraps, p89-p108. illustrated colour plates, 184mm wide x 240mm high. New unread copy. Heleophryne Regis, which has for some time been regarded as the eastern subspecies of the H. purcelli complex in the Cape Folded Mountain Belt, has a mating call distinct from typical H. purcelli and is therefor reinstated to specific rank. It is geographically isolated from other species in the southern Cape Province. An account of the species past taxonomic history is presented. Certain morphological characters hitherto employed to distinguish H. regis from its cogeners do not withstand critical scrutiny.
