Volume I comprises 'Recollections of My Sea Life from 1808 t0 1830' by Captain John Harvey Boteler, published in 1942 and complete with one folding plan.Volume II comprises 'The Health of Seamen: Selections from the works of Dr. James Lind, Sir Gilbert Blane and Dr. Thomas Trotter', edited by Christopher Lloyd and published in 1965, complete with three illustrations.Volume III comprises 'Documents Relating to Anson's Voyage Round the World, 1740-1744' edited by Glyndwr Williams, complete with eight illustrations and plans and one folding plate. Collated, complete.Established in 1893, the Navy Records Society publishes historical documents on the Royal Navy's histories,From the library of Eric Kenneth Prentice Back.  Kenn Back was a British meteorologist with the British Antarctic survey for many years.  He spent eight winters in the Antarctic and is a descendent of Captain George Back. In addition, he served as base commander at Halley, Faraday and Rothera stations.  His library collection was built over decades and highlights his love of polar exploration. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with some bumping to the head and tail and otherwise minor wear. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume. Internally firmly bound, pages are bright and clean with the exception of volume one, whose pages are a touch age-toned with uncut edges. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: None. Very Good Indeed .
