Constitution of the Socialist Labor Party of Canada ; [At head of title: Monthly Bulletin: Socialist Labor Party of Canada]
[Toronto, Ontario, Canada], Socialist Labor Party of Canada , N.D. [Circa 1980's?]. First Edition, First Printing. Self-Wrappers. [Unpaginated]. [1], 2-9. 4to. measuring 9.5" x 14". Nine, numbered, mimeographed type-script leaves, twice-stapled at head. Printed as a special issue of the party's monthly periodical ("Monthly Bulletin - Socialist Labor Party of Canada") bearing their distinctive arm-and-hammer logo at head, and quotes by Marx, and DeLeon on either side of the margins. Contains the full, and unabridged text of the now-defunct party's constitution comprising of nine articles, each with varying numbered sections outlining in detail the party's organizational and governance structure, conditions and obligations of membership, dues, national convention, rules of conduct, et al. The complete list of articles is as follows: a) Management; b) Sections; c) NEC (National Executive Committee); d) General Secretary; e) National Convention; f) Members At Large; g) Dues; h) Mileage; i) Miscelleaneous. Horizontal creases where the leaves have been folded, some wear along the edges, vertical printer's error to the second page resulting in some discoloration of the text. Overall, very good. Rare in commerce. Unrecorded in OCLC. Not found in Weinrich. To be distinguished from OCLC #222572506, which references the same title, however, published earlier and differing in pagination. This issue likely only preceded by the 1950 issue, which was derived from the original constitution issued in 1934 (see Weinrich 1660). .
