London, The Fleetway House, 1935-1937. First edition. Cloth. Two bright volumes of Tiger Tim's annual for 1936 and 1938, illustrated with many colour illustrations throughout. Two volumes in quarter cloth bindings with pictorial boards. Ink inscription to the front free end paper. Illustrated to both annuals with a colour frontispiece, an illustrated title page, and numerous further in-text illustrations, many of which are in colour. In addition, the 1936 annual is illustrated with twelve full-page plates, and the 1938 annual is illustrated with eleven full-page plates. Collated, complete. Tiger Tim's Weekly was a weekly comic for children, which ran from 1919 until 1940. These annuals, which ran from 1922 through to 1954, contain illustrated short stories and comics from a variety of authors. In quarter cloth bindings with pictorial boards. Externally bright and smart, with fading to the spine of the 1938 annual and faint marks to the boards of the 1936 annual. Rear hinges to each annual are slightly strained with webbing showing, but are held reasonably firmly. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean except for the odd spot to the end papers.
