Printer's device of Willem van de Water, active in Utrecht between 1689 and 1713.It shows a Fama flying in the sky, over a city with towers [Utrecht], playing a trumpet. From the trumpet hangs a flag with a sun. Two cornucopias depart from the bottom center and frame the scene on the sides. An inscribed ribbon at bottom: 'PAX APTIUM ALTRIX'. Xylography on paper, mounted on a sheet of laid paper; total: 55 x 40 mm; in very good condition.

Argentina 1950) arrived in Argentina in 1913 as an assistant in the already established photo studio of Juan Pi in Mendoza. Bourquin was one of the first photographers who professionally edited his photographs as tourism material produced as postcards, cards, albums and calendars. The present album comprises 120 photographs accompanied by brief texts by Manuel Gálvez, Carlos Octavio Bunge, Leopoldo Lugones, Victor Juan Guillot, Joaquin V. Gonzalez, amongst others. Two original printersmarks or printers devices of Staatsdrukkerij dating from 1802.13x14cm. A printer's mark, device, emblem or insignia is a symbol that was used as a trademark by early printers starting in the 15th century. Staatsdrukkerij was (and still is) the official printer/publisher of the Netherlands. The first printer's mark is found in the 1457 Mainz Psalter by Johann Fust and Peter Schöffer.
