Collated, complete. This richly illustrated alphabetically arranged encyclopaedia includes entries on subjects surrounding maths, horology, architecture, heraldry, astronomy, microscopes, entomology, and other diverse topics such as lifeboats and Rowntree's Beer Engine. In full diced calf bindings, with gilt detailing to back strip. Minor rubbing to joints, otherwise externally lovely. Front hinges of volume II and IV strained, but firmly held. Internally, firmly bound. Foxing to plates of volumes II, III, IV, and VI, with foxing most significant to volume V. Offsetting to pages facing plates. Very Good . Ill.: Lowry and Scott. Very Good .
