In the publisher's original pictorial hardback. Dated using Jisc from a copy held at The University of St. Andrews Library.This copy includes a colour frontispiece of The Wolf and the Crane by Ethel L. Tanner, along with numerous black-and-white illustrations, and one colour illustration, throughout.Aesop was a storyteller who is thought to have lived in ancient Greece around the 6th century BCE. He is best known for his collection of fables featuring anthropomorphic animals that illustrate moral lessons of honesty, wisdom and kindness. These fables have become enduring classics, continuing to be shared with generation after generation. In the publisher's original pictorial hardback. Externally, a little worn.
