It includes tobacco, snuff, chocolate, brandy, liqueurs and other alcoholic drinks, fruit syrups, soups, teas and preparations of herbs and spices. ca. 1700-1725, on paper with coat of arms of Amsterdam, (2),45 leaves, partly with description on one side and partly on two sides [leave number 19 skipped], and 21 blank leaves, contemporary vellum, 31,5x21 cm. Very rare and impressive recipe-book with extensive descriptions (partly with alchemistic symbols and names of patients). With dated recipes, i.a. "februarij 1686", "Succemum of Barnsteen (..) hebbe ik aldus bereijd den 14 Feb 1697" and "Anno 1723 hebbe ik nog een compositie van sweetpillen gemaakt". Recipes for patients: "Sout van Wijnsteen", "Sout van Hertshoorn", "Stael ofte ijser tr.
