Information about James White is not exactly voluminous. He died in 1825 and was Veterinary Surgeon to His Majesty's First, or Royal Dragoons. This ninth edition of the first volume is uncommon, with OCLC locating copies in BL and National Library of Wales in the UK, Guelph in Canada, and Massey University in New Zealand.
