With chapters on Ford Maddox Brown, William Charles Thomas Dobson, John Gilbert, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Thomas Webster, amongst others. With four pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear. Previously held in the library of Angelena Frances Milman, known as Lena Milman, a British translator, critic and architectural historian who translated Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel 'Poor Folk' and contributed to Aubrey Beardsley's 'Yellow Book&apos. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and board edges with the odd small mark. Small splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the spine resulting in minor loss. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Minor age toning to the endpapers with contemporary ink inscriptions and an ink stamp to the front endpaper. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
