Collected and arranged by Joanna Baillie, a Scottish poet and dramatist. The first edition. This work contains work by Scott, Crabbe, Wordsworth, Southey, Hemans and more. The letter observes that there is no reference to Beaumont in Boswell's Life of Johnson. With the bookplate of Sir Edmund Antrobus of the Antrobus Baronets, Chester. Rebound, with original boards preserved. Externally, generally smart. Heavy rubbing to the boards, mostly to the extremities. Bumping to the extremities. Spotting to the first and last few pages. The odd spot throughout. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .

DI CICCO, PIER GIORGIO
Living in Paradise: New and Selected Poems
Toornto, Mansfield Press. 2002, 1st Can Ed. (ISBN: 1894469054) French Wraps. Book, After fifteen years of publishing silence, Pier Giorgio Di Cicco is back. Living in Paradise contains his best poetry from the seventies and eighties along with his first new poetry since he left the literary world to join a monastery. As Dennis Lee says in his penetrating afterword, "It's a book we have sorely missed." Readers will find generous selections from major works like Flying Deeper into the Century and Virgin Science, as well as from The Tough Romance, of which Lee says, "There is nothing in our literature to match this sinewy lyric explosion, with its pyrotechnics, its philosophic edge, and its undertow of heartbreak." With Living in Paradise, readers can rediscover a major poet, once again writing at the height of his powers. Two inscriptions on ffep, one by the author, and one apparently by the previous owner , else fine. Near Fine.
