These letters offer a delightful insight into his travels and artistic inspirations through Italy and Switzerland, as well as his general correspondence, including his thoughts on music for public worship, on pianoforte playing, and a proposal for an academy of music. Uniformly bound in half calf, with marbled paper covered boards and gilt to the spines. Externally, with rubbing to the extremities and a few scuffs to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
