"?On assiste en Espagne à une nouvelle efflorescence des études classiques, les actes du deuxième congrès des études classiques (?) en apportent un tranquille témoignage. (?) Certaines contributions nous valent d?excellents états de questions, ainsi le fort bon travail de Martin Sanchez Ruiperéz passant en revue toute la bibliographie récente en matière de grammaire grecque et latine, analysant très finement l?evolution des écoles de grammaires, notant l?application avec laquelle on revient partout à l?observation contextuelle des phénomènes morphologiques et linguistiques et donnant à propos les exemples les plus caractéristiques. (?) La première section ne contient que des articles de grammaire (?). Le section de droit romain, remarquablement introduite par D. Alavaro D?Ors, contient une étude tout à fait concluante de D. Luis Gil, dont la carrière s?annonce fructueuse. Gil établit l?authenticité de l?édit de Dioclétien contre les Manicheéens et, (..) explique que les raisons qui en ont parfois fait douter, puis poursuit ses investigations sur les motifs politiques et sentimentaux qui ont provoqué le décret. (?) Les études platoniciennes jouissent d?une faveur particulière, elles se situent surtout dans l?exégèse moderne: actualité de la pensée politique de Platon; interprétation de Platon au XXe siècle (?). Le congrès prend dès lors une tournure d?intention, les poèts de la période alexandrine, ceux de l?époque augstéenne, étudiés à travers certains ouvrages récents, se présentent dans un grand mouvement de convergence - rudement bien décrit - comme les témoins d?un optimisme littéraire et bénéfique. (?) On trouve une section où se recherchent les éléments du paganisme ancien dans la littérature espagnole. (?) La section archéologique (?) s?agit de Tartessos. (?)
