Illustrated with a frontispiece and sixteen plates, with many in-text images. Collated complete. Accounts of experiences and nature in the polar regions, with chapters on the Arctic summer, polar bears, Eskimos and their dogs, the sea-otter, hunting, the snowy owl, Mount Erebus, and much more. Written anonymously. In the original blue cloth binding. Eternally, sound with rubbing and light bumping to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the board. A 3" split in the cloth to the rear joint with small splits at the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd handling mark. Age toning to the endpapers. Contemporary ink inscription to the front pastedown dated 1904. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown. Good . Ill.: Not Stated. Good .
