Collated complete. A traditional folk ballad popularised as a broadside ballad in the nineteenth century, with this adaptation generally attributed to Charles Dickens and William Makepeace Thackeray. Illustrated by George Cruikshank, a British caricaturist and book illustrator, praised as the "modern Hogarth" during his life. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
