This novel was written by German-born author and journalist, Otto Schrag. Schrag is best known for his memoir entitles 'When Europe was a Prison Camp' which was written with his father, Peter Schrag, depicting two accounts of the families escape from Occupied Europe. This particular novel is a work of fiction, set in America after the War following the lives of some of those who fought and showing the greater effects of that time. The novel opens with David Horne, a man who has lost his leg and is slowly getting used to being home. In smart original publisher's cloth binding with the original unclipped dust wrapper.
