Leveson Gower played first-class cricket at Oxford University and served as captain for England in Test cricket. Undated; dated from copies held at the British Library. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, some shelf wear to the boards and bumping to the heads and tails of the spines and extremities, particularly to the tails of the spines. Cloth splitting to the heads of the front joints on both volumes, and to the spine of Volume II. Contemporary inscription from Sir H.D.G. Leveson Gower to the front free-endpaper of each volume. Internally, hinges are starting. Remaining binding generally firm.
