Mild edgewear and bit of rubbing; some age toning to preliminary leaves (only). Tight, handsome and thick little volume containing three of the numerous Waverley Novels. Though not so marked, this was custom bound for the library of Wisconsin civic leader James M. Lynch (died 1882), who served as chief clerk at the Adjutant General's Office during the Civil War and was appointed quartermaster general in 1865. .
