Languet Du Fresnoy, and translated to English by Richard Rawlinson, with the addition of a dissertation by Count Scipio Maffei on inscriptions and medals. This work provides information for a new method of studying History, Geography and Chronology. Bound in full calf. Externally generally smart with front joint starting to the head, bumping and rubbing to the extremities, marks to the boards, rubbing to the spine and loss to the spine label. Bookplate belonging to 'J. Leman Rogers' to the front pastedown with light offsetting to the extremities of the endpapers. Internally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with very minimal age toning, the odd minor mark and a past owner's signature to the preface. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
