The original cloth covers and spine bound at the rear. Illustrated with drawings by R. Swain Gifford, J. C. Beard, A. B. Frost, Henry Sandham, and Fannie E. Gifford. SIGNED and dated by Roosevelt as President on the original front endpaper "with regards of/Theodore Roosevelt/May 2d, 1904." The Panama Canal Treaty was made into law two days later on May 4th, 1904. An attractively bound copy in Fine condition housed in a green cloth slipcase with morocco spine label, also in Fine condition .
