Following on from the previous work, Ramsbottom here explores the poisonous and sometimes deadly species of fungi with historical commentary on our discoveries involving these varieties. In the original paper covered boards. Externally, sound with light wear and sunning to the extremities. The odd mark to the boards with a crack to the rear joint of Poisonous Fungi. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Further spotting to the first and last few pages with minor age toning to the endpapers. "From 1929 to 1950, he was Keeper of Botany at the British Museum. He served as general secretary and twice as president of the British Mycological Society, and was long editor of its Transactions. He was president of the Quekett Microscopical Club from 1928 to 1931 and was elected an Honorary Member in 1937. He was president of the Linnean Society from 1937 to 1940 and was awarded their Linnean Medal in 1965. Ramsbottom was President of the Society for the History of Natural History from 1943-1972.
