Used; Very Good Helena Francina Lochner became a well-known and respected author of many children's books written in Afrikaans. She illustrated the majority of her books herself. Born in 1892 in Moorreesburg on a farm, she was the tenth of fifteen children. After teaching for many years, she retired in 1948 and went to live in Blaauwbergstrand, where she could give all her attention to her writing. She died in 1951. Paperback.
