This is one of nine impressions of a limited edition of this work, lettered A to I, on Abbey Mills Greenfield paper, with one original drawing. This copy is lettered I, and contains an original drawing tipped in to the rear, as well as the nine tipped-in reproductions of the original drawings. Miniaturist, illustrator and writer, Raymond Lister (1919-2001) was a noted art historian, specialising in British romantic art. For this volume he produced nine intriguing designs alongside the nine-line poem on the emblems of Theodosius or the unity of Endymion and Prometheus. In the publisher's original cloth binding.
