Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy bound in pebbly red cloth over boards, creamy red leather-backed, with five raised bands, fleurs-de-lis in five compartments and gilt-tooled titling there, with unbruised tips, light waffling to paste-down and first few endpapers owing to light damp-staining there, dissipating; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Two prior owners' inscriptions penned at frontis. Gift inscription at second free endpaper, fine steel engraving at frontis, new marbled endpapers.
