London, Sampson Low , [1958]. Magazine. A lovely scarce collection of five and fifteen minute sleepy time tales for children, illustrated in colour throughout. By Sheila Hodgetts. A scarce set in eight volumes of these lovely little tales for children. Dated from Copac 1958.  All these stories included are to be read in five minutes and are designed to help children fall asleep. Each volume is embellished with various illustrations featuring the characters, and each follows a different scheme colour alternating between yellow, red, orange, green, blue, purple.The titles included are Sleepy Time Tales off Cherub Village, Apricot Farm, Playtown, Puddletown, Happy Town, the Little Cherub, Playtime Village, Primrose Wood. They all feature various characters and animals.   In the original publisher's illustrated wraps. Externally smart with slight shelf wear and some creasing to the spine. Sleepy Time Tales of Playtime Village has some minor creasing to the front wrap. Each volume has the occasional minor faint handling mark. Primrose Wood and Happytown are inscribed in pencil, and Puddletown and Apricto Farm are inscribed in pen to the title page. Internally, the binding is slightly loose but firm, with pages 141-144 of Little Cherub, 53-60 of Playtime Village, ang 53-64 of Playtown loose but present, and previously tape repaired. With the odd minor spot to Playtime Village, otherwise the pages are generally clean throughout with a touch of tone ageing to the occasional volume, as usual. Illustrated throughout with features of the characters, and each follows a different scheme colour alternating between yellow, red, orange, green, blue, purple. Good . Ill.: Sheila Hodgetts. Good .
