An extensive, large paper study concerning the sea-trout, with much useful information for anglers, including chapters on its eggs and alevins, its maturity and spawning period, practices of artificial propagation and more. Written by Henry Lamond, secretary of the Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association. Illustrated with nine full page coloured plates, and thirty-eight full page plates with numerous figures in black and white, as well as a plan of Luss Hatchery. Collated, complete.  In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, boards and spine bumped to the extremities, lightly rubbed. Alan Thornton's bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally bright and clean, with light marginal spotting scattered to the occasional leaf. Illustrated with nine full page coloured plates, and thirty-eight full page plates with numerous figures in black and white, as well as a plan of Luss Hatchery. Collated, complete.  Very Good .
