German language translation of Haafners famous narrative of travel from Madras via Tranquebaar to Ceylon (originally published in dutch in 1806), which proves to be a venomous german nazi attack on the british as rulers of Colonial India in the light of Nazi ideology of 'Blood and Soil. In his preface editor praises the dutch [ and Germans] as being forthright, honest, hardworking opponents of [colonial] oppression. A curious and interesting war-time publication. Good to very good copy.
