Signed by the author on the title page, who was assistant curator as well as the daughter of the donor of a collection of 919 sword mounts to the museum. In addition to the coverage of early types of swords, Ken ad Tachi, through all the major schools and smiths, there is list of signatures, names of artists, families, and localities as well as a discussion of restoration. A fine paper copy bound in a lightly rubbed very good+ ex-lib set of boards with minor remnants of labels present, but original volume is unmarked. Scarce in this condition.
