First translated English edition of 'Ideen zu einer reinen Phanomenologie und phanomenologischen Philosophie', published in Halle in 1913. Husserl wrote a 'Preface' to this English edition around twenty years after its original publication. Translated by W.R. Boyce Gibson, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Melbourne. Boards are scuffed, and edges, corners and spine ends are bumped and rubbed. Spine is slightly cocked, and label on spine near spine foot. Library plate, barcode and library stamp on front pastedown, FEP and copyright page respectively. Light spots of foxing noted on pages throughout, however this has not affected the legibility at all, and binding remains sound. LW. Good/No Dust Jacket.
