Manuscript, 1744. Single manuscript sheet heightened with watercolopur, 320 x 435 mm. old folds, a little browning. This shows the disposition of the Allied forces, mostly made up of British, Dutch, Austrian and Hanoverian forces, arranged close to the town of Lille. Wade ordered an advance towards Lille from these positions in July 1744, but the action stalled due to various logistical problems> Wade had to keep his options for retreat to Britain open in case of further Jacobite troubles at home.

E. Typographeo Clarendiano, Oxonii, 1871. Linnen band. Pp: 806. The Old Testament of Origen, "Origenis Hexaplorum", containing the complete Genesis to Malachi Old Testament in two huge volumes. The original Hebrew is paired with detailed Latin commentary, and Greek as well, in this very historically important work. The term "Hexaplorum" (Hexapla), in this case, does not refer to six parallel columns of text (as it does in the 1841 Hexapla New Testament of Bagster), but rather, it is a reference to the six source documents for the Old Testament (four of which were actually Greek Septuagint) used by Origen.
