The first edition of this work.Stamped 'Review Copy' to the verso of the front wrap.Published under the pseudonym John Bruin so the book could be distributed in South Africa, where Brutus's work was banned. It was re-issued in 1975 using his real name.Brutus was born in Southern Rhodesia, but later moved to South African where he was jailed for his anti-apartheid activism, and became a political refugee. He moved to the United States in 1983. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Wraps lightly age toned to perimeters, with the odd light handling mark to front wrap.
