Full blue calf, gilt vignette, based on the Sherril Schell profile photographic picture of Brooke, gilt decoration to all dentelles, double gilt rules, gilt decorated spine with glided raised bands, crimson morocco spine label lettered in gilt, all edges gilt, in excellent condition. Handsome marbled end-papers. Two superb photos of the Author accompany the splendid verse. Bayntun-Riviere is the last of the great Victorian Trade Binderies still in family ownership.
